These relatively recent events drain me of my hope for a peaceful revolution. Not all my hope is lost, but it is severely weakened. My body and spirit grow weak as the fear courses throughtout my veins. Most of the populus fail to realize the Fascist path we're taking, and even worse is the fact that even fewer care.
The curtain is open, the show is on, but few in the audience notice the brick wall of reality behind the film screen. Even as others openly put themselves at risk by publicly warning them, the words go unheard, and soon the theater staff will remove those who speak out. The audience will continue to enjoy the film to the ending credits, but at the ending the screen will fall. The falling of the screen will reveal the brick wall at the back of the building. The building, in which the doors are locked, and no escape exists. A window of thick glass will allow those trapped to see what they once had, but it will offer no escape.
A wise man once said, "When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When people fear the government, there is tyranny."
Today, I am nearly silenced with complete and total fear.
